ABOUT

RADIOLOGY

Radiographs are two-dimensional, black and white pictures that allow for evaluation of the size and shape of some internal organs.  Changes in bone structure (such as arthritis, fractures, or bone infection) can also be detected on radiographs.  Radiographs are very helpful in evaluating the lung tissue for infection, masses, abscesses and fluid. Radiographs are also utilized to evaluate changes to the size of the heart.
